American actress and singer Halle Bailey is opening up about why she decided to keep her pregnancy private.

 

HALLE BAILEY OPENS UP ABOUT HER PREGNANCY
Halle Bailey and her rapper boyfriend DDG welcomed their son, Halo in December 2023. In an Instagram post, the couple confirmed the birth of their son.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son. Welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you”, the Little Mermaid actress captioned her post.

In a Q&A on her Snapchat account that was reposted to YouTube by Thevoice4dappl REACTS, Halle candidly opened up about her decision to keep her pregnancy hidden and private.

The Colour Purple actress shared that she stayed off social media to keep herself “sane”.

“Honestly I stayed off of all social media. I really tried to just keep myself sane and I know that there was a lot of people who would always comment and be like, ‘We know girl, we know.’ And I’m like, ‘OK, that’s great that you know, but I’m just going to chill’”, Halle Bailey shared.

‘IT JUST HELPS MY BRAIN TO FEEL SANE’
During the Q&A, the actress was also asked how she had the energy to work while being pregnant.

“I think for me, I just realized I think it was helpful for me to be able to still be working and have something to promote, like the beautiful film I was a part of,” Bailey shared as she referenced The Colour Purple movie.

Halle further noted that doing red carpet appearances and photoshoots, while being pregnant kept her productive and active.

“Things like that, it just helps my brain and to feel sane. Because there’s a lot of emotional vulnerability that you experience going through all of that”, Halle explained.
