South African soccer fans are seemingly nervous with anticipation as they wait to see how the country’s national team, Bafana Bafana, fares in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The team is set to face off with Mali later today and have sparked quite a buzz among social media users who don’t appear to be happy with the president of the South African Football Association (SAFA), Daniel “Danny” Jordaan.

This has been made increasingly clear by X users who wasted no time slamming professional sports fan Mama Joy who recently attempted to defend Jordaan.

SA football fans have spared little kind words for soccer boss Danny Jordaan — despite the team qualifying for the 2024 Afcon.

Many blame Jordaan for the team’s failure to flourish in the football arena.

While thousands have pledged their support to the one-time Afcon winners, others have focused their attention on why the team have been left in the dust for the last 28 years.

Controversial sports fanatic Mama Joy got a taste of their anger after she headed online to share a photo of herself and Jordaan.

In the caption, she demanded that he be left alone while adding how Bafana Bafana qualified for Afcon under his leadership.

“Hands off My President Dr Danny Jordaan under his leadership bafana qualified for Afcon,” she wrote.
