Julius Sello Malema was born on 3 March 1981 He was born and raised in Limpopo Sesheho. He is a South African politician and activist who is a member of a parliament and the president Commander in chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters which he founded in July 2013. He previously served the African National Congress Youth league from 2008 to 2012. He was a member of African National Congress from the Age of nine until he left ANC at the age of 31. He rose to prominence as a Supporter of ANC to president. He was described by the late President Jacob Zuma and Premier of Limpopo e Cassel Mathale as a future leader of South Africa.

He was convicted for hate speech in March 2010 and again in September 2011. In November 2011 he was suspended from ANC for five years for sowing devision within the party. In 2011 he was again convicted for hate speech for singing Dubul Ibhunu which means shoot the Boer. A decision upheld on appeal , leading to his expulsion from the ANC.


 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2012 he was charged with fraud , money laundering and racketeering.After numerous postponements the case was dismissed by the courts in 2015 due to excessive delays by the National prosecuting Authority , leading to perceptions that the charges were politically motivated.

He is married to his long time girlfriend Mantwa and their wedding ceremony was private under a heavy security in his hometown Seshego in 2014. Their first son is Munzhedzi born in 2016. Their second son is Kopano born in 2018. Malema had a son named Ratanang from his previous relationship with Maropeng Ramohlale.
