Khune had reported to training while drunk, and the club had to implement some measures.

This issue sparked fan talk as some stood with Khune and some with the club. Some claimed the club disrespected the legend, while some claimed the club did well setting the standard.

Despite so much talk and confusion, Khune showed his strength with the performance he pulled.

He earned so much on the day but still refused to talk about his Kaizer Chief’s future.

The All Stars players and technical team had 33 members; each got R60 000, from R2 million.

This meant that Khune had firstly R60 000 for his inclusion in the All Stars team. He later pulled off a stellar performance that caught many fans’ eyes, and he was the Man of the match.

That won him R100 000, making his sum R160 000 before he took another R25 000 making it R185 000.

The R25 000 came from the Fak’ iGoal Uzobona competition, in which Mfundo Vilakazi’s fourth-minute strike secured a pool of R894,000.
