A few months ago, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest shocked social media users when he revealed that he had “turned to God”. The Doc Shebeleza hitmaker shared that he has undergone a “reset” and had his soul “washed by the blood of Jesus”. And now a video of the rapper getting baptised has also gone viral online.

While many have sung his praises for making the decision to turn to God, many have taken to mocking him for getting baptised inside a swimming pool.

SA hitmaker Cassper Nyovest made the radical decision to give his life to God. The rapper has shared a number of posts about how he has turned his life around and is now a devout Christian.

“Let’s start with Jesus, guys. A lot of people have been asking me why I am quiet. What’s going on? Just to give you a summary, I went through a reset. I realized what life is. And my purpose in this life. And I am not ashamed to say that my soul was washed by the blood of Jesus. I am not ashamed of the gospel. And I will be unpacking more and more as time goes on, and I will tell you the beautiful story of my testimony of how I had an encounter with God this year,” he wrote online in 2023.
