RIP Jeffrey Zikhali: TV presenter issued ‘warning’ in final FB post

According to the SABC, Jeffrey Zikhali – a TV presenter, news anchor, and former government spokesperson – was killed on Friday night by unknown gunmen.

His body was thrown out of the vehicle and discovered on Saturday morning along the R102.

Zikhali, who worked at the SABC, eNCA, and BBC, had been travelling home to KZN when the tragedy struck.

Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said a murder investigation had been opened.

Sad scenes: Ex-Orlando Pirates star Papi Khomane laid to rest

The former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates player was buried on Saturday, 2 December.

The soccer legend Papi Khomane (48) tragically died in a car crash last Saturday.Papi was fondly remembered by his family and those close to him as humble and a straight talker.“When he didn’t like something, he would tell you straight but in a calm manner,” said his brother Mokete Khomane.

“He was a caring person and used to show this to all of us.”Papi was buried alongside his mother, Rita Nomasonto Khomane, and uncle, Moffat Norman Nkosi.
The funeral service was conducted at Soweto’s University of Joburg.

Papi and his mom were members of the Uniting Reformed Church of Southern Africa.

Umkhokha: The Curse’ character Ndoda Gumede

The TVSA Umkhokha: The Curse December teasers confirm that Difa (Sibonile Ngubane) and Mamzobe’s (Deli Malinga) son, Ndoda may have committed suicide.

While viewers of the faith-based telenovela predicted that Gabisile or Nobuntu died on Friday’s episode, the teasers reveal that the sisters are still alive.

The Thursday 28 December teaser reads: “MaMzobe feels left out when Difa, Gabisile and Nobuntu leave for the pilgrimage without her”.

The teaser proves that fan-favourite characters Gabisile and Nobuntu are still alive, and their brother may have died as he’s not mentioned.
