Zahara’s close friend Vusi Nova has paid tribute to the ‘Loliwe’ hitmaker with an emotional heartfelt tribute. Taking to Instagram, he posted a video while singing for the star.

What left many in tears is that Vusi Nova also included Zahara’s famous prayer, which she used to perform before starting her gigs. He captioned the post, “You might be gone, but you’ll forever remain in our hearts.”

The emotional tribute has since left Mzansi in tears. The viral video has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet.

South African award-winning musician Zahara – real name Bulelwa Mkutukana died on Monday, 11 December – her funeral details have been shared and social media and will be taking place in her hometown, East London.

Earlier this week, a family statement confirmed Zahara passed “surrounded by family and loved ones.” This comes after a previous statement revealed that she had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital in Johannesburg.
