TK Nciza has been making headlines in the backdrop of Zahara’s memorial service, which was held at the East London International Convention Centre.

 

Zahara, born Bulelwa Mkutukana died on 11 December 2023. Paying tribute to Zahara at his funeral service, TK Nciza dived into their relationship, often thrusting them into top trends.

Over the years, TK Nciza and DJ Sbu have been credited for thrusting Zahara into the limelight with their now-defunct record label, TS Records. However, after partying ways, Zahara alleged that she was swindled millions in royalties by the record label.

Up until her untimely death, she insisted that the duo swindled her. However, while paying their tributes, the duo seemingly addressed the allegations.

Nciza spoke about their relationship and how she discovered the star. He recalled the first time he witnessed the multi-award-winning star’s talent. Nciza also opened up about her meetings with Zahara’s parents and how they blessed her before she moved into their home with his ex-wife, Nhlanhla Mafu.

“She was very proud of her background and where she came from. And what it means is that you must take pride in where you come from as a person. She always said she comes from Phumlani, because she must inspire many people who are coming from that area and I think she has done that,” he said.
