‘Sorry’: Simphiwe Dana’s show halted due to ‘logistical challenges’

South African singer and songwriter Simphiwe Dana has recently taken to social media and announced the postponement of one of her upcoming shows scheduled to take place in Gqeberha on Saturday, 23 December as seen in her Instagram post shared on Wednesday, 20 December.

Simphiwe Dana will no longer be performing at the highly anticipated show which was set to take place at the Boardwalk in Gqeberha on Saturday. According to a statement seen on her feed, the show will no longer be taking place this weekend — instead, it was postponed to take place next year.


 

“It is with deep regret that we announce the postponement of the highly anticipated Simpliwe Dana show, originally scheduled to take place at the Boardwalk in Gqeberha on Saturday, 23 December,” the statement read.

The decision to postpone the show is said to be due to “unforeseen logistical challenges” that arose. The “unforeseen logistical challenges” were also said to “require additional time for proper resolution”.

The renowned Inkwekwezi hitmaker has since expressed her sincere regret for disappointing her Gqeberha fans.

“I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused to my loyal supporters in Gqeberha. It breaks my heart to make this decision, but I want to ensure that I deliver the best possible experience to my fans. I promise to make it up to you and deliver an unforgettable show when we reschedule, “ Dana said.
