Zahara’s family refuses to accept fiancé Mpho Xaba

Family of the late singer Zahara has refused to accept Mpho Xaba. Zimoja reports that the fiance of the Loliwe hitmaker paid lobola before the singer passed away, but the family rejects him as a son-in-law because he didn’t make full payment. Mpho reportedly stood by his lover and took care of the hospital bills till she drew her last breath on the 11th of December.

Zahara will be buried this week, but her fiance has been snubbed by the family for the burial arrangement.

“Things are not good at all, they are using the fact that he did not finish lobola against him,” adds the source. According to another source, the drama started at the memorial service last week Thursday, where he was not allowed to speak by certain family members citing that he is not their son-in-law.

“They are scared that if things don’t go his way, he might take drastic steps,” adds the source. Family spokesperson Oyama Dyosiba said no lobola was paid “Look there was a family meeting, certain things were brought up including the lobola issue and according to the family, no lobola was paid,” he said to zimoja.
