Oh baby! Springbok hooker Malcom Marx expecting first son!

Kirsten and Malcom Marx, the renowned rugby player who plays for the South African national rugby team and Kubota Spears are expecting their second baby. The Springbok WAG (Wives and girlfriends of Sports players) announced her pregnancy via an Instagram post shared on Monday, 18 December.

The lovebirds were congratulated by several social media followers after announcing that they were expecting their second child. The lovely couple have been together for over 13 years and already have a beautiful daughter named Kenna Marx. In her post, Kirsten posted a blue emoji and revealed that this time, she is expecting a baby boy in June, next year.

“Baby Marx💙 June 2024… Absolutely can’t wait for you precious baby boy💙👨‍👩‍👧‍👦,” she captioned the post.

After Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia, and Handre Pollard and his wife Marise, Malcom and Kirsten are now the third Springbok couple to announce their pregnancies following their recent 2023 Rugby World Cup victory in Paris, France. The South African rugby national team made history in Paris on 28 October after beating New Zealand’s All Blacks team in the final tournament. The beloved South African rugby team also made history as the fourth-time winners of the Rugby World Cup title.

There is no ‘I’ in team: Earlier this year, Marx suffered a serious injury and was ruled out of the global tournament, Planet Rugby reported. Unfortunately, the seasoned hooker was said to have torn his ACL during training. The 29-year-old professional rugby player will reportedly also not be playing this season even though he was scheduled to return on the rugby field before his contract expires in May 2025, IOL reported.
