Skeem Saam actress Amanda Manku, who’s been playing the role of Lizzy Thobakgale for over a decade says there was another Elizabeth before her.

 

‘I’M THE SECOND LIZZY THOBAKGALE’
The talented Skeem Saam actress Amanda Manku tells Sunday World that there was another Lizzy Thobakgale before her on the soapie.

“A lot of people don’t know that I am the second Lizzy. There was another one in the first season, and I was the second one. I kind of managed to grow with the character until this point, it has been beautiful to watch the transition in her life.”

Manku adds that she’s always believed her popular character would find love but didn’t think it would be with Kwaito Seakamela (played by Clement Maosa).

“I definitely did not see that one coming because of the person that Zamokuhle is, which is very indecisive and at some point. He just had this womanizer tag on him,” said Manku.

Manku adds that her on-screen husband’s womanizer tag was removed before the wedding when they decided to get back together after they had separated.
