Siya Kolisi’s wife Rachel attempted Elf on the Shelf to surprise her kids – as revealed in an Instagram Story on Friday 8 December. The pair have two kids together – Nic (9) and Keziah (6). The belief is that Santa sends his elves to keep an eye on the gifts that kids are most excited about. These elves are said to fly back to the North Pole every night.
Rachel revealed that it was the first time there’s an Elf on the Shelf in their home. She explained that she believed the elves make too much of a mess but their family sent a Christmas box so she decided to go for it.
“A first for house Kolisi! Always told the kids I never wanted (an) elf (because) ‘they make such a mess’ then our Liverpool fam sent a family Christmas box to us. Low and behold,” she wrote.
Rachel then filmed a clip of flour she placed in their kitchen to resemble snow. The Kolisi family is currently living in Paris, France. The family of four moved to the city ahead of Siya joining Paris-based rugby team Racing 92. Kolisi joined the Paris-based team after he lead the South African national team to victory for the second time at the Rugby World Cup held in France.

The mom of two then shared a clip of her kids’ reaction to her set up and it seems her first born is not a believer. After reading the letter he replied “you wrote this.”
“It’s probably the last year of him believing in Christmas magic so trying to make the most of it,” she wrote.
