The South African Music Awards (Samas) have confirmed that the award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 18 November.
This after there was confusion as to whether or not the awards would take place
They also announced the last round of nominees for the Record of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories.
The late AKA and K.O are now tied with seven nominations each.
AKA just added Record of The Year for his single Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C. He’s also nominated for Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Engineered Album, Best Collaboration (for the single Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C), Best Collaboration (for the single Company featuring Kiddominant), and Best Produced Music Video (for Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C.
Babes Wodumo visits her late boyfriend, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo. The late musician and the Gqom queen married and their union was blessed with a son, Sponge.
Ayanda Ncwane wins a long-anticipated award at the 2022 MTN Caller-Tunez Awards. The 40-year-old won award for the Outstanding Sales Achievement. The businesswoman who manages Ncwane communication recounts how DJ Cleo inspired her by consistently winning the Best-Selling award.

Itumeleng Khune resumed his relationship with Sphelele Makhunga in 2019 and the couple would go on to marry in June 2022. Khune is reported to have paid Lobola some time ahead of their eventual wedding and public scrutiny has not always been good for this couple.
The model, influencer and Varsity College graduate is also a mother of two. Makhunga also runs Eminence, a décor and event firm that plans festivities, baby showers, and birthday parties. In addition, she founded Eminence Florist, whose roses and flowers are sold in Johannesburg garages.
On her Instagram profile, Makhunga often advertises her enterprises, but not much is known about her life prior to meeting the Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana stopper. Makhunga has uploaded footage of herself training in their home gym with her husband, as well as a progress film of her muscular growth with personal trainer Blckvreka.
