The South African Film and Television Awards 2023 took place on Saturday, 30th of September. The 17th edition was held physically for the first time in three years due to the pandemic, it took place at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg with Zozibini Tunzi and Lawrence Maleka as hosts for the event. Netflix SA and kykNET were the night’s big winners, hauling home 19 and 15 Golden Horns.

 

How to Ruin Christmas led the TV Comedy category with five wins while eTV bagged 12 awards to come out on top among the TV channels.

The legendary Koos Roets and the late Derek Watts were honoured with the Lifetime Achiever awards.
