The 33-year-old actress and afro-soul singer and drummer Siyabonga “Phila Dlozi” Mfekayi, 22, are head over heels in love and sharing glimpses of their romance with their followers on Instagram.Phila, who made a name for himself in the music scene in 2021 with his hit song Nomthandazo, is a man in love and he’s not hiding it.
The singer has been expressing his love for Malofe on his Instagram with cute videos, pics and captions.
In one post, Phila shared a series of pics of his Malofe, accompanied by a caption in which he showed gratitude to her for the love she showers him with.
“Ngyabonga Sthandwa Sam for the love you are showing me,” he wrote. Malofe loving responded with a series of blushing, in love and heart emojis.
Another post shared by the musician shows Malofe who appears to be at a park with Phila wh does not appear in the video. In it, the couple is having a cute and silly conversation.
“Just in case you didn’t know she is the love of my life,” Phila captioned the video.
FROM KZN TO THE GRAMMYS
Phila captivated the hearts of Mzansi in 2021 when he shared a clip that was just over two minutes long showing off his amazing singing and drumming skills on Twitter.
According to Briefly, the video garnerd over 70 000 views in a short space of time and tweeps proceeded to tag various musicians they felt he’d make great music with.
This year, the KZN-born artist was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to perform at the Grammys in April. Phila was invited along with artist and seasoned journalist Mzilikazi Wa Afrika. He is featured as a vocalist and drummer in Mzilikazi’s album, Rise.
“I think this type of exposure going to the Grammys will really do wonders for my budding career. It’s not everyone who goes to the ceremony. This opportunity will create the necessary attention around my name not only locally but internationally.” he told SowetanLIVE in March. However, he unfortunately did not maje the trip due to visa issues.
