Renowned South African DJ, DJ Maphorisa, has firmly declined the National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) proposal to attend anger management classes in response to the assault charges brought against him by actress Thuli Phongolo. The NPA had suggested the classes as a condition to potentially withdraw the charges against the musician.
In a recent statement, DJ Maphorisa expressed his adamant refusal to undergo anger management, stating that he believes the best course of action is to proceed with a trial and prosecution. According to the DJ, he wants the opportunity to prove his innocence in front of the public and clear his name from any wrongdoing.
The charges stem from an incident that took place earlier this year, where Thuli Phongolo accused DJ Maphorisa of assaulting her during a social gathering. The allegations caused a media storm and brought public scrutiny upon the prominent artist.
