Nandipha’s affidavit claims she was forced to leave the country with Thabo Bester on 17 March, two days after she dropped off her two daughters at school and did not return.

Her statement read: “I was instructed and commanded by accused five [Thabo Bester] to get into a vehicle and leave the premises to a destination unknown to me at the time. I refused and wanted an explanation, but he forced me into a vehicle.

The couple would then flee in Magudumana’s Porsche, of which the state says it has CCTV footage of. According to eNCA, the state will use the footage as evidence against the accused during the trial.
