Bryoni Govender became the Miss SA runner up at the finale of the pageant held at the SunBet Arena, Times Square in Pretoria on Sunday 13 August.
Natasha Joubert was crowned Miss SA 2023. Natasha previously placed in the Miss SA top three back in 2020 and represented South Africa at Miss Universe in 2020.
The Miss Universe organisers announced that Bryoni Govender will be representing South Africa at the pageant set to be held in El Salvador in November via an Instagram Story on Monday 14 August.

Footballer Samir Nurkovic took to Instagram to gush over “his queen” Bryoni after she placed in the top two at Miss SA on Sunday 13 August.

In an exclusive interview with The South African, Bryoni gushed over her supportive boyfriend.
“We have been together for some time and he’s just the best. He is very, very supportive of me,” she said exclusive to The South African.

After becoming the Miss SA runner up, Bryoni took to Instagram to thank Mzansi for the support.
“I am so incredibly proud of myself. Thank you South Africa for all your support and love ✨,” she captioned the post.

Former Miss SA’s took to the comments section to show the beauty queen some love.
“Well done Bryoni! I can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. There will be more❤️,” wrote Miss Universe 2019 Zozi Tunzi.
