Dj Maphorisa and Thuli : Bad news hits Maphorisa this morning at court

DJ Maphorisa’s case has been postponed again by the court this morning. This comes after his actress and DJ girlfriend, Thulisile Phongolo, filed a lawsuit against him in May for allegedly beating her following an altercation at her home in Sandton, Johannesburg. As a result, Maphorisa was reportedly arrested and kept overnight at the Sandton police station.

DJ MAPHORISA appeared in Randburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 26, for filing a representation with the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The case was rescheduled for August 25th, pending a decision from the DPP.

Themba Sonnyboy Sekowecame, the musician’s real name, arrived in court wearing sunglasses, a black top, and pants.

He arrived with his legal team, who hid him from the cameras outside the court.

In June, prosecutor Clarance Makhubela stated that the DJ’s case had been postponed because he needed to submit his legal representation to the DPP.

DJ Maphorisa and his crew are leaving Randburg Magazine.

In comparison to his previous appearance on July 5, the court gallery was nearly full.

Following the assault claims against him, DJ Maphorisa’s relationship with Thuli Phongolo has deteriorated. The producer is said to have retrieved all of the vehicles he gave to the actress throughout their relationship. According to a source, the DJ promptly repossessed his Mercedes G Wagon and Porsche that he had purchased for Phongolo after being released from custody.

The 31-year-old musician was detained on May 7 after a case of common assault was registered at the Sandton Police Station in Johannesburg’s northwestern suburbs.

DJ Maphorisa is accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend, Thuli Phongolo.

The DJ dashed to his car after his court hearing.

Thuli P dropped the allegations against the singer after he was granted R4,000 bail.
