Sekhabi was born in Mafikeng, South Africa’s North West Province, in the year 2000. Aubrey Sekhabi, her father, is a playwright and director. She enrolled at Crawford College in Pretoria in 2018.
She then enrolled at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2019 and finished with a Bachelor’s degree in cinema and television.
She joined the school chorus and theatre club when she was eight years old. Sekhabi then joined Steele Models at the age of eleven.
She made her cinematic debut at the age of 14 with two short films, A Cup of Sugar directed by Xolile Tshabalala and Making a Killing directed by Justine Head.
She made her television debut in January 2020 with the 1Magic soap opera The River, where she played the recurring part of “Millicent” in season three.
Following the popularity of the soapie, she was asked to play the lead part of “Shoki” in the e.tv soap opera House of Zwide the following year. Later that month, in January 2021, the series took over for the long-running soap opera Rhythm City.
