An emotional Zandile Khumalo is continuing with her testimony as she recalls the night #SenzoMeyiwa was murdered. She was one of the people in the house when the soccer star was killed.

”After a while, Orlando Pirates players arrived. Madisa, Senzo’s wife, also arrived. Her friends were also there and upon arrival they started pulling Kelly by her hair and assaulting her.”

 

”I then went to Mandisa and told her that what they were doing was wrong because Senzo did not like noise”

”Kelly then went to see Senzo. She asked me to accompany her. We then went into the room where they kept him.”

”Kelly started speaking to him and removed his earings. I think he was also wearing a watch. She then kissed him and said her goodbyes. We then left the room”.

”When we got outside we told the ones we came with, Tumelo and Mthokozisi that we were now going to leave. We could also see that the media was going to arrive.”

She says Mthokozisi stayed behind because she knew Mandisa.

Zandi tells the court that when they arrived home, they noticed that the entrance they were supposed to use had been cordoned off with the yellow tape.

Zandi points to the left side of the gate, which also shows a grey car parked and tells the court that that’s where they parked. She says they then got off the car.She says they found a lot of people inside the house as they entered. These include police and neighbours. She further adds that there was also a lady who told them that she was from a government department.

Zandi says they found Senzo’s phone next to the stand. They also looked for other phones and found that her mothers phone that had been charging was still there.

She says they looked around and saw that there was something that looked like a burn mark on the tiles.

She adds that the kitchen door was also damaged. On the kitchen floor, was also a scotch hat next to the stove and the sink.

She adds that the crutch that they were using to assault one of the intruders was also on the kitchen floor. The crutch belonged to Tumelo.

A picture of the entrance to the kitchen is beamed in court. It shows a hat, yellow cone amongst others. She identifies the hat. She goes on to say she cant see properly but the burn mark is where the yellow cone is placed.

The crutch is also lying next to the two items. She says it belonged to Tumelo.

Baloyi rehashes that she said she felt a spark on the foot and then asks her to identify where she was standing.

She says she didnt suffere any major injuries on the foot. She just put on a plaster, adding that the wound is no longer visible.
