The teenager from Senaoane, Soweto, revealed the special moment via his Instagram account on Friday 16 June.

The 25-year-old defender’s transfer was announced by Chiefs via social media on Thursday morning, just six months after the club announced Njabulo Blom’s departure to St Louis in the USA’s Major Soccer League.

“Kaizer Chiefs bid farewell to defender, Siyabonga Ngezana, who has signed for Romanian Lige 1 powerhouse, Fotbal Club FCSB, formerly known as Steaua Bucharesti,” the Soweto giants reported.
“There is always a tinge of sadness when a player who has risen through the ranks here leaves the Club,” Amakhosi’s Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, said.
“However, Siya has had a good and substantial career at Kaizer Chiefs and feels the time is right to take up a new challenge. We appreciate his wholehearted commitment to Amakhosi and wish him well on his exciting adventure to Europe,” Kaizer Jnr concluded.
According to iDiski Times, the Sebokeng-born player’s move is a five-year deal worth R12 million.
“Siyabgonga Ngezana has signed a five-year deal with FCSB after they agreed a €600,000 (R12m) transfer fee with Kaizer Chiefs, iDiski Times has learnt,” the outlet reported.
