Zandile Msutwana (born July 6, 1979, in King William’s Town, Eastern Cape, South Africa) is a South African actress best known for her role as Vuyiswa in the Mzansi Magic soap opera The Queen. Zandile Msutwana graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Performer’s Diploma in Speech and Drama.
Zandile Msutwana is best recognized for her starring role as Akua Yenana in the SABC1 drama series Society, which aired from 2007 to 2010.
Her roles at the university included Regan in King Lear, Matilda in The Suit, Aida in On the Brink, and Chorus in Trojan Women. Zandile went on to perform in The Langa Hall’s production of Ingalo and as Cordelia in a school tour of King Lear after graduating.
This was followed by various roles in Madiba Magic at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town, Thando Sibanda in Nguni, A Love Story at the Kalk Bay Theatre, and a puppeteer in Marthinus Basson’s innovative production of Tall Horse at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town, Pretoria’s State Theatre, and the Civic Theatre in Johannesburg.
Zandile was a broadcaster on Heita for e.tv and a student in the soap opera Backstage. In 2005, she starred in Steve Berry’s Unrequited Love and Peter Samann’s Beyond Berlin.
