Nompilo Maphumulo, the amazing actress who captivated Uzalo fans for almost 8 years with her incredible playing skills, has left SABC 1’s beloved soapie Uzalo. Maphumulo rose to prominence after obtaining the part of Nosipho Xulu and rapidly became a fan favorite. However, her time on the show has come to an end.

 

Maphumulo made her final appearance on Tuesday evening and took to Instagram to leave a touching message with her admirers. She expressed her appreciation for their support and praised the show for providing her with the opportunity to demonstrate her talent.

“Uzalo released me because it was time for me to leave,” she stated of her departure. I’m the most fortunate actress. If I’m not mistaken, we started with less than five performers when Uzalo first appeared on television in 2015. As a result, everyone has their own schedule. I had my time, and it was an amazing experience. I worked with an amazing cast and learned a lot about acting. It’s time for me to step down.”

Mzansi praised her for perfectly portraying her character and presented her with flowers for her work as an actress.
