Whether the release of a statement was necessary or not, it is really up to the people of South Africa to decide, considering that they have invested so much of their attention to this story about DJ Maphorisa and actress, Thuli Phongolo.

If there is one thing that came as a lesson in all of this is that, we should learn to mind our business next time, but we also know that this is obviously unlikely, unfortunately.

 

 

So, people did what was expected of them and they got into the contents of the joint statement that was released by Maphorisa and Thuli through their lawyers last night.

The statement was quite clear even though some people do not seem to agree, what was pointed out in the statement is that Maphorisa and Thuli are aware of the misleading information that is being shared on social media about them.

And in a nutshell, the statement goes on to say that the two reserve the right to individually pursue legal action against those who make defamatory and/or false claims in relation to the matter.

Maphorisa and Thuli seem to have had enough of what is being said about them on social media platforms and they are basically making an attempt to get the whole thing to be put to sleep.
