When Lee-Anne “Gogo Maweni” Mokopo made her reality TV debut on Izangoma Zodumo, she attracted a sizable following. Now that she has established herself as a well-known sangoma in Mzansi, Moja Love has given the reality TV star her own show.

The well-known sangoma joyfully shared the news on her social media that she had been selected for the May 6 launch of the reality series Thokoza Gogo. She promised that her followers will see the genuine Gogo Maweni.

“Now that my spouse is joining me on the show, I can show the world who I really am on my own platform. I have plenty of time to demonstrate who I am to the public, she told TshisaLIVE.

Gogo Maweni has been in the news on a number of times, including claims that her marriage is in trouble and a falling-out with her ex-friend Gogo Skhotheni.

 

 

In the show’s teaser, Gogo Maweni and her husband talk about their adopted child and infidelity as well as traditional rituals.

But there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the show, when a white Sangoma made an appearance, this caused a stir on social media with some questioning his ancestry because people believe only black people can be Sangomas.
