It seems like the case of Thabo Bester’s prison escape is going to take a longer time due to some technical changes. Earlier today, there was a notice that the media had apparently been barred from taking the bail application of Dr. Nandipha Magudumana live.

 

 

During the proceedings, Dr. Nandipha Magudumana’s lawyers asked to have her bail application rolled over to the 16th of May in light of what they say is the emergence of new “critical evidence”. They have reportedly also stressed that Magudumana has not abandoned bail.

Their request was accepted as the Magistrate granted Dr. Nandipha Magudumana the order to have her bail application rolled over to the 16th of May. According to reports, this is the same day where her father, Zolile Sekeleni and boyfriend Thabo Bester will be back in court. Clips of Magudumana were shared on social media as she left the court.

It is not yet clear whether Dr. Nandipha Magudumana will get an opportunity to meet with Thabo Bester since they will be appearing on the same day in court. The case remains one of the most popular among South Africans.
