“Poor Marketing Strategy” Bad News For Makhadzi’s Shoe Brand “kokovha”

Due to losses, afro pop singer Makhadzi was forced to sell her sneakers for about half of what they were originally worth, and she is reportedly to blame. Originally retailing for R900, a pair of Makhadzi’s Kokova sneakers is now being offered for R450. According to reports, the sneakers are being offered in the Festival Mall in Kempton Park, Gauteng.

According to Sunday World, Makhadzi, whose full name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, is charged with not marketing and promoting the footwear effectively, which resulted in low sales.

The manufacturer of the sneakers, Kicks Kokovha, sued Makhadzi and demanded damages. According to reports, she was supposed to perform while wearing the sneakers and promote them on social media, but she was largely spotted wearing foreign clothing labels.

Sammy Mhaule, the founder of Kicks Sportswear, was described by Sunday World as saying that although they had put a lot of time into creating the sneakers, the artist had broken the terms of the contract.

Yes, Kokovha, which was intended for her to work on, is being sold at a discount because I need to get my money back; otherwise, it would be like they abandoned me and left me to handle damage control on my own, said Mhaule.
