Newly elected Deputy President, Paul Mashatile, has been making headlines for the past few weeks. Mashatile, who recently married his new bride, Humile Mjongile, has been receiving threats from two of his former girlfriends. Gugu Nkosi and Norma Mbatha collaborated in bringing the second citizen down as they accused him of ditching them after promising to walk down the aisle with them, well, one of them. Gugu Nkosi went as far as threatening to kill Mashatile.

However, Mashatile seems unfazed by all the threats. After serving the jilted lovers with protection orders, Mashatile is going on with his new love. Over the weekend, the number two citizen accompanied his wife to the Mathebula Royal family for ‘Xibelani’ welcoming ceremony. We must admit, the couple looked all sorts of cute. Dressed in a ‘xibelani’, a Xitsonga traditional skirt, Humile looked so radiant and over the moon as she dished some traditional dance moves. The ceremony was attended by family and friends. Paul Mashatile is a happy man, he got himself a beautiful woman.

What I love about Humile is the fact that she stays far away from the public eye. I went as far as searching her on all social media platforms but my search ended without finding evidence of her life splashed out there. Also, she seems unbothered by the negative publicity her man has been receiving.

Meanwhile, one of Mashatile’s ex-girlfriends made another startling revelation. Gugu Nkosi told You magazine that she was ready to marry the vice president and she got the shock of her life when she realized that he had married someone else. Gugu, who has three children,(not sure if they are Mashatile’s children) says in November last year Paul shelled out more than R100 000 to hire cars for her daughter’s matric ball celebrations. She says they supported each other in everything.

According to Gugu, Paul Mashatile had hidden the truth of his first marriage to his late wife from her. She says she only found out about his marriage only in 2016 at an ANC rally at Ellis Park Stadium.
