Since Nandipha Magudumana’s return to South Africa following her and Thabo Bester’s arrest in Tanzania, she has remained in hiding, covering her head and face with a face mask and a hoodie at all times, including during her first court appearance at the Bloemfontein Magistrates court.

 

 

Multiple pictures and videos have been posted on Twitter showing Nandipha Magudumana’s face for the first time since she was arrested and brought back to South Africa from Tanzania. The judge in the case ordered her to remove her mask and hoodie, and she did so for a brief moment in court.

To paraphrase what Adrin Sampear wrote on Twitter: “Dr. Nandipha Magudumana shows her face for the first time while in the dock.”
