South African hip-hop has been marred by the frequent deaths of rappers since the passing of Riky Rick last year. Sadly, the likes of AKA, Costa Titch, DJ Dimplez, and Tumi Tdlali, among others, have passed away. This has left the rap community grappling with the possibility of more deaths.

Recently, a viral Tik Tok video showed a prophet named David Uche prophesying about Big Zulu being involved in a car accident. He stated that he saw the rapper in a bloody car and that he needed to be prayed for. Uche mentioned that the accident would happen in either March or April, and that he had been praying for Big Zulu to avoid it.

In response to the prophecy, Big Zulu expressed gratitude for the prayers but said that some things are beyond his control. He tweeted, “Thank you very much for the prayer, but there are things that are not in my power.”

 

 

Despite the prophecy, Big Zulu is currently enjoying a good spell in his music career. He recently announced a joint project with Sjava called Inkabi Zezwe. The duo dropped a new single titled Umbayimbayi off their joint album Ukhamba, which is set to be released on 23 May.

Another prophet also foresaw the death of Costa Titch before tragedy struck. Big Zulu’s response to the prophecy was mature and showed that he understands that some things are beyond his control. We wish him all the best in his career and hope that the prophecy does not come true.
