It was not the last time viewers saw one of the actors from Scandal when he was sent to jail. He is back and will soon appear on screens continuing with his role on the mentioned show.

Kagiso Rathebe is a South African media personality known for being a jack of many trades. He is an editor, singer, songwriter, writer and more. Rathebe is popular known from appearing in an international series called Nauty and Crosses as Toy Boy. He also appeared on shows such as Igazi, Generations The Legacy, Keeping Scores, Single Gals and other shows.

Rathebe was playing the role of Amo on Scandal since 2019. He was a freelance photographer by the name of Amo but because he was involved with his colleague on the show and things did not go well, he was arrested and no longer appeared on screens. Kagiso is now coming back from prison and will be seen as from the 15th being tomorrow.

 

 

 

Scandal in a statement speaking about the return of Kagiso Rathebe as Amo said, “If you are an avid Scandal viewer, you will remember the Amo obsession storyline and how he terrorised both Hlengiwe and Dintle by capturing them and keeping them tied up at Hlengiwe’s penthouse”.

“If you are new to Scandal, what is about to come will surely keep you glued up to your screens after watching just one episode. Amo is released from prison…for reasons yet to be revealed. His first action seems to be stalking Hlengiwe once again. However, he does insist that he just want to apologise and means no harm to Hlengiwe at all”, the statement continued.

It is good that Kagiso is returning to television screens. However, it is not the perfect time for him to return as viewers are now more focus on the Dintle and her father storyline. Scandal was supposed to go far with that storyline as the main storyline whereby viewers get to see how Dintle get to continue and build her relationship with someone she took as a husband only to find out that he is her father.

That Dintle storyline is interesting and if the show focuses more on the Amo storyline, many will loose interest in watching the show. As many are more into seeing what will happen going forward for Dintle. They have already seen the Kagiso storyline and all that they have seen is enough.
