Pretending to be a qualified medical professional when you are not a qualified medical professional is very bad, illegal, and dangerous. And yet, there are numerous cases throughout history of people doing it and getting away with it—sometimes for years. In South Africa, people are do get arrested for such crime but it is mostly foreigners, trying to make a living in a foreign land.

 

Now it has been reported that Former Rhythm City actor caught impersonating a medical doctor.Television personality Zola Hashatsi allegedly pretended to be a doctor in one of the wards and attempted to treat a sick patient.

At Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, a nurse‘s alertness appears to have prevented a potential disaster when television personality Zola Hashatsi allegedly impersonated a doctor and attempted to treat a patient in one of the wards.

Reports suggest that Hashatsi had been impersonating to be a doctor since 2022 and had even been hired as a ‘medical professional’ at a local clinic. Police have now arrested him and if he got found guilty, he might spend years behidn bars.
