A Warrant Of Arrest Issued For Andile Mpisane For Abusing Sithelo

The Royal AM FC chairman, Andile Mpisane, has a warrant out for his arrest. He apparently disobeyed a temporary restraining order before doing this.

His ex-girlfriend, DJ Sithelo Shozi, was allegedly stalked and intimidated by Andile. Sithelo went to the Durban North police station to give the officers the arrest warrant after it was issued on Friday, March 3.

She claims that after being rejected, she was told to wait until Andile broke the order once again. When Andile allegedly threatened to kill Sithelo last year, she obtained a protective order against him.

According to reports, Andile called her and threatened her. The chairman of the Royal AM FC allegedly followed Sithelo in Cape Town in January, where she was scheduled to perform. When she saw Andile inside the club called The Milk, she allegedly exited the establishment with an escort.

The magistrate in Durban did issue an arrest warrant against the defendant, according to her attorney Mabu Marweshe of Marweshe Lawyers, who verified this to Daily Sun.

Our client has been receiving calls from private numbers, among other things that could be seen as a violation of the existing interim injunction, so we are thinking about legal alternatives to enforce the same.

A warrant for Andile Mpisane’s arrest is in effect as of the publication.

Happy Godi, the attorney for Andile Mpisane, told the Daily Sun that it is against the law for him to offer opinions on the legality of cases involving domestic abuse without the court’s approval.

Police are unable to comment at this time, according to KZN SAPS spokeswoman Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo, because Sithelo has not provided the name of the officer who advised her to wait till the defendant broke the protection order again.

There isn’t yet a criminal case on file.
