Zola 7 is a famous Kwaito music artist in South Africa. He was raised in the ghettos of Soweto, but he pushed through and changed his story. He has won many awards for his music.

 

Zola is his stage name. It means a thug. He was born on 24th April 1977 in Soweto, Johannesburg, Gauteng province. He is 42 years old. He grew up in the ghetto of Zola sub-township in Soweto Township, hence his stage name. His real name is Bonginkosi Dlamini.

The past few years have not been very kind to Zola 7 but he already accepted help and he is on the path to getting his life back on track.

Back in January 2021, he got involved in a terrible car accident while driving in Meadowlands, Soweto, but he luckily escaped with his life.



Meanwhile according to Zimoja, the singer is back with a bang following an illness that landed him in ICU for five weeks.

The star was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago which saw him lose enormous weight and struggle with his career.

I was in a coma for five weeks due to epilepsy. I was not on any ventilators or anything, I was breathing by myself, Zola was quoted as saying.
