Top TV actress Lerato Mvelase faces eviction

It appears as though too TV actress Lerato Mvelase has found herself in hot water.

The Sunday World newspaper has reported that Mvelase is embroiled in a bitter dispute with a property developer.

Galencia Property has now threatened to evict the popular thespian if she does not secure a bond for the property.


It is alleged that Mvelase was renting the property with the option of buying it. That is when the bond issue popped up.

The squabble came to the fore when Mvelase’s ally leaked several letters of demand sent to her by Galencia Property’s lawyers, Boshoff Inc, asking her to vacate the property or face eviction.

Mvelase is well known for her vibrancy onscreen. She feature in season two of the popular telenovela The Wife.

She has also appeared in many SABC productions which include The Estate.

The lawyers stated that Galencia Property allowed Mvelase to occupy the house from January 2021 after signing a lease agreement to pay an occupational rent of R12 000 a month pending the registration of the property in her name.

The Sunday World further claims that Mvelase did not submit a new application for the bond. She also did not lay her monthly rent.
