Lady Du is a South African Amapiano singer, songwriter, and DJ. She started working on her music career at age 9 but struggled to gain recognition due to high competition in Mzansi’s music industry. Her breakthrough happened on 2020 when she was almost giving up.

The Amapiano artist made a global impact in less than two years of venturing into the Amapiano music genre. She made friends with several influential Amapiano artists including the late Mpura.

 

 

 

She has so far cemented herself as one of the most business savvy musicians in the country. The Amapiano vocalist understands the importance of not only making music to survive, but one should always have something on the side if they want to live comfortably.

The star recently shared she is back at doing music as she took a well deserved break and she will return with a tour over seas.

Currently working on my international tour. To all of you that think it can’t be done here is a testimony. Your talent can fund any of your dreams. I’m educated but music made me successful,she said.

She listed the sacrifices she had to make in order to ensure that her beauty parlour comes into fruitation after taking a huge break from the music scene, to opely focus on some of her business ventures.
