Tony Forbes, AKA’s father, was captured on camera weeping over the arrival of his son’s body in JHB.

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’s memorial service is set to take place on Friday, April 17, 2023, thus his family carried his remains to Johannesburg on Sunday.

The death of the rapper, reported by major media outlets around the world, has obviously affected his entire country, Megacy, but most significantly his girlfriend, fellow rapper Nadia Nakai, his parents, and especially his daughter, Kairo Forbes, who has been kept out of the public eye since her father’s death.

Outside AKA’s family home in Bryanston this week, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi assured the media that the government would provide the “necessary help” to ensure the rapper has a fitting funeral.

To ensure our hero receives a proper send-off, we pledge to offer any and all help required.

According to Lesufi, “we believe he is an international figure supported across the globe, and it is an opportunity for us as South Africans to guarantee we stand with the family, especially his daughter.”
