The recent shooting of award winning musician AKA has seen social media flooded with various conspiracy theories about his death.

These theories have had an effect on his family as they are trying to come to terms with his passing.

 

The family has now broken their silence on the matter. This comes days after they issued a statement pleading with South Africans to give them privacy to mourn their loved one.

Speaking at a short media briefing on Tuesday, AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, said they did not condone the comments which were being spread like wild fire on social media.

This comes as social media trolls, also known as amateur social media detectives, have been spreading falsehoods on the platform to gunner more followers.

“We do not condone what is being said about his friends and those making dangerous statements. We We appeal to them to cease from doing so,” Forbes said.

He added that the friends who were with his son on the fateful day have been very supportive towards the family.
