Samukele Mkhize truly deserves the credit for doing a stellar job in portraying the character of Khwezi on Skeem Saam. Her character on Skeem Saam is abhorred by many because of how arrogant and heartless she is at times. In real life, Samukele Mkhize is a very humble person who never looks disdainfully

 

at others. Being raised by her grandparents who were pastors made her to have an opposite character from the one portrayed on screen.Just like all other women, Khwezi was pregnant for a full nine months but her pregnancy was unplanned and unexpected. She found out after her baby daddy, Lehasa Maphosa, insisted that she visits a doctor because she was constantly feeling sick. Khwezi was frequently vomiting, dizzy, experiencing unusual mood swings and some food tasted bad for her. The first trimester of her pregnancy was blissful because her baby daddy, Lehasa, was supportive of her and showed her love in every possible way. A few months down the line Lehasa Maphosa fell in love with Pretty Seakamela, rejecting Khwezi and making her feel as if she could abort the child. Khwezi’s uncle fought on her behalf and Lehasa made it clear that he will only pay damages for the child, make sure that Khwezi is well taken care of until she gives birth but he will not marry her.
