The family of slain hip hop musician AKA is set to meet the father of his late girlfriend Anele Tembe.

Tembe passed away when she allegedly fell off a balcony. Details pertaining get death have been sketchy.

 

 

She is believed to have fallen off the 10th floor of an upmarket Cape Town hotel. She was just 22 at the time of her death.

When rapper AKA was shot in a hail of bullets, Tembe’s father reached out to Forbes family to send through his condolences.

Anele Tembe’s father, Moses Tembe, said yesterday he had received a message from AKA’s father, Tony Forbes, thanking him for reaching out.

Moses Tembe is a well known influential business man from Durban and his wealth is steady.

Tembe share the message that he received from AKA’s father.

“Thank you for your message. We appreciate it greatly. It (AKA’s death) has not registered for me … I will revert soonest about best time and address for you to come through,” read the message.

According to the Sunday Independent, Tembe and Forbes are set to meet. Details of the meeting have not been disclosed.

Police are following leads for the masked gunmen who killed AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane on popular Florida Road.
