DJ Zinhle, Oskido and others go to AKA’s house to pay their respects

On Saturday, friends and family members of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes were seen arriving at his home in Bryanston, Johannesburg, following the rapper’s untimely passing. Many those present were visibly emotional, and some were seen embracing each other in grief.


 

The outpouring of love and support for Forbes was evident, as the people closest to him gathered to mourn his loss and celebrate his life.

AKA was shot and killed outside a popular Durban restaurant, Wish on Florida Road on Friday night. A fatal shooting that also claimed the life of his lifelong friend, wine owner and book author Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The late artist’s friend Leslie “Da L.E.S” Mampe, the owner of record label Kalawa Jazmee Oscar “Oskido” Mdlongwa and AKA’s ex-girlfriend and baby mama Ntombezinhle “DJ Zinhle” Jiyane were some of the celebrities who arrived at the rapper’s house to pay their respects.

The rapper and his friend had just finished having dinner and were headed to a nightclub in Yugo, Durban, for AKA’s gig, as part of his birthday celebration at the nightclub.

The rapper was heading to his car when he was ambushed by a gunmen who shot from behind.
