A theft charge was filed against Murdah Bongz, a former member of Black Motion, on Thursday at the Olievenhoutbosch police station, which is located north of Johannesburg.
Murdah, who recently left the partnership to pursue a solo career, is accused by Moses Nkia Mokgoko, the owner of Black Motion’s record label and mixing desk, of breaking into their Centurion home on Thursday and stealing studio monitors, a television, computer hard drives, and a mixing desk. A source close to the musicians claims that Murdah moved out of the house he and fellow member Thabosmol and Mokgoko purchased and moved in with DJ Zinhle, his girlfriend and the child’s mother.
Unconfirmed reports state that when Mokgoko arrived on Thursday, he noticed that Kabelo “Problem Child” Koma, a new member of Black Motion, had had his bedroom door broken and the room wrecked, and that there had been a forced entry into the home.
They decided not to file any charges after talking it over with him. Instead, they altered the door locks. The renowned musician Murdah Bongz is accused of smashing the doors to gain access to the home and steal the recording studio equipment. When he supposedly did this, the other members of Black Motion were out playing a show. Additionally, it appears that a police statement corroborated the information.
