South Africans were far from pleased after watching the recent episode of Isencane Lengane. Moja Love came under fire on social media and was accused of condoning gender based violence after last night’s episode.

 

 

Moja Love caused controversy on Twitter after they posted a clip of an episode of Isencane Lengane. In the short clip, Thando narrated how Siyacela physically assaulted her following a phone call with one of her female friends. She stated that he slapped her in front of their infant son, while she was cooking. In response to her statement, Siyacela snatched her phone and slammed it on the floor.

@Lehutso_Des left this comment on the tweet, “I’ve always been aware that this channel capitalises on black people’s pain and trauma for content but to actually enable and promote abuse? Cancel the show!”

People were appalled at Siyacela’s behaviour and the fact that Moja Love was enabling his actions. Many South Africans are starting to believe that the channel is exploiting Thando’s naivety for entertainment and views.
