Born on the 15th of January in 1989, Akhumzi Jezile is the late South African media personality who was best known as an actor, television presenter and producer. He is better recognised as a presenter on the SABC 1 YOTV kid’s educational show. Playing the character of Ngulube on Tempy Pushas rose him to fame and exposed him to more producers who wanted to work with him. Akhumi won a SAFTA award as the best supporting actor on Tempy Pushas.It remains a very sad reality that this talented
and great human being is no more. He continues to be dearly remembered by those who were close to him and also his faithful fans. Yesterday was his birthday and his best friends celebrated it, it was simultaneously the saddest and exciting day for them. Musa Mthembu and Andile Ncube were his childhood best friends who were left in awe when they heard the sad news that he is no more. Yesterday they were celebrating him on their stories and made it clear that this still miss him to date.Sive Nkonkwana and Mablerh who were also close and best friends of Akhumzi gathered to celebrate the life of this precious soul. They bought cake and also went to visit his tombstone with black balloons. Akhumzi would be turning 34 years old this year and the balloons symbolised that. Sive was very emotional as she carried Akhumzi’s picture in her hands and shared how much she miss him. She continued to say a day never goes by without her thinking about his jokes, advices and just him in general.Akhumzi will continue to be dearly missed for the precious soul and beautiful person he was both in and out. His family, friends, colleagues and fans always share that he will forever be in their hearts and will continue to celebrate him even when he is no more. May his precious soul continue to rest peacefully.
