Mampintsha’s mother, ZamaNguni Gumede, passed away after a brief illness just one month after the death of her well-known son. She passed away Sunday night at the Wentworth hospital at the age of 64. Pinki Gumede, Mampintsha’s sister, informed the Daily Sun that she had passed away suddenly. She claimed to have paid her a daytime visit.

She appeared to be fine when I left her. She even cracked jokes at us, and we all laughed. As a result, Pinki stated, “When I left her, she was in good spirits and I really thought she was getting better.” However, this was not the case because she was summoned back to the hospital hours later.

 

 

 

 

 

When I got the call from the hospital, I was just about to go to sleep. She wanted to see us, so I was told to hurry to her bedside. She was already surrounded by doctors and nurses attempting to assist her when I arrived, and she was already on drips.

I can see that she wanted to say goodbye to us now that she has left. She informed me that she was leaving and that she was old. I said yes when she asked if everyone was present. I informed her that Mampintsha’s son Sponge was absent because she requested to see him. She did not say anything, but I could see that she was sad in her eyes. We talked to her briefly and received her blessings. Then we left. Pinki continued, “I received a call around 10:00 p.m. informing me that she was dead.”

She stated that this causes her double pain. It’s a double-edged sword for me because I absolutely cannot cope. Within three weeks, I lost two important people. However, the fact that we were not financially prepared for this makes things even more difficult. Mampintsha took care of everything in terms of policies. Pinki stated, “I guess the time was not on our side, but we were still trying to get things in order.”

The mother of Mampintsha had been ill for some time. She got worse after Mampintsha passed away. She had to be physically carried because she couldn’t walk on her own.

She was admitted to Wentworth Hospital a few days after Mampintsha’s funeral.
