Death should be ashamed of having claimed the life of Peace Maria Ogechi Anyiam-Osigwe . This was after the founder and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Africa Movie Academy Awards was confirmed as having died at the age of 54 by the Daily Sun news .

 

 

 

 

The cause of death was not informed by the Daily Sun , but it was notified that she died while she was admitted at a hospital in Lagos .The family of the late Peace Maria reportedly released a media statement confirming the heartbreaking news . The statement described her as having an outstanding personality , being a visionary leader , and being kind .

It was informed in the media statement that the family assured that it would do everything in its ability to make sure that her legacy stayed on despite her passing on . Other projects she was running such as training programmes in Nigeria and the rest of the continent are expected to continue running even in her absence . It was also assured that her charities would also continue even if she were not around .

 

 

 

 

The family asked the members of the public to respect their privacy , but funeral procedures will be announced in due course . This is another elaboration of how death can be devastating . It took away someone who still had many programmes to run . She had so many things which needed her guidance and presence , but they will continue without her .

It is heartbreaking for those who relied on her in terms of work as it means that there can be uncertainty over what will be happening next . However , although her family promised to continue running her programmes , it is yet to be seen if they will manage to handle those in the manner that she did when she as alive .
