Sad news confirmed by daily Sun newspaper, Kwaito star and member of the Kwaito group from Umlazi, KwaZulu Natal Big NUZ Mandla Maphumulo popular known as Mampintsha has sadly passed away.

According to the source, the 40 year old singer was hospitalized early this week due to the stroke, the singer announced his passing on the 24th of December.

Mampintsha made his name very popular in the entertainment industry, he recently got married to a singer Bongekile Simelane who is known as “Babes Wodumo”. The couple had a child together and their exclusive wedding was broadcasted on Showmax.

The death of Mampintsha shocked many as him and his fellow members of Big NUZ has reunited and released a hit single ” Ngeke ngvume” that is nominated in ten most interesting songs on Ukhozi FM for 2022/2023.

Mampintsha was born on the 18th of July 1982. He was 37 years old. a South African recording artist and producer from Umlazi. He is also the founder of the musical group Big Nuz. Mampinstha has made a name for himself in the country through the Kwaito hits that he has produced over the years. 

Mampintsha is married to Babes Wodumo whose real name is Bongekile Slimane. The two didn’t announce their marriage until people were surprised with a picture on Instagram of the couple showing their wedding rings.

On 23 December, people were heartbroken after hearing that Mampitsha was admitted to a hospital after he suffered a stroke. Prayers we asked on behalf of Mampintsha after a statement was released saying a star that is known as Mampintsha, from multi-award-winning group Big Nuz has suffered a minor stroke a week ago upon his return from a performance with Big Nuz. He is currently in hospital receiving medical attention and is under doctors observation,” read a statement from record label Afrotainment.

“We ask that you keep him in your prayers. Afrotainment wishes him a speedy recovery and we cannot wait for him to rock our stages again,” the statement went on to say.

As people were still hoping that he will recover, a post that left people heartbroken saying Mampintsha passed away was shared on social media. Below is what was shared: Mondli Mabizela took to social media to share that Mampitsha passed away.

After seeing this post people couldn’t believe it as they are saying he is still fighting for his life in the hospital. But the person who posted this seemed sure about what he said. He then said no he didn’t make it but by thee look of things he died this morning after he suffered a stroke. So far no details from the family but will wait and here the family confirms the news.
