Kwaito singer Phumla Mvelase asks for help after struggling to pay rent for eight months

Christmas came right on time for maturing vocalist star Phumla Mvelase after her debilitated music profession got a lift. When she asked people on social media to help her pay her rent, she got the attention of Kwaito legend and activist Eugene Mthethwa. Mvelase owed thousands of Rands to her landlord for eight months’ rent.

A QUESTION FOR HELP

The question she posed was as follows: I hope all is well. I am in dire need of assistance. This year, I haven’t had any gigs and haven’t received any money. Due to a stroke, I lost my job in February. Right now, I’m staying alone. I’ve been renting for eight months and haven’t been able to pay my rent. I have nowhere to go and no family to turn to, so my landlord has asked me to leave. Please help me find gigs so I can find a place to live. Ngiyacela kakhulu ningincede is a request for assistance. I have been asked to leave on January 2nd. Right now, anything would be helpful. Please! please! I’m frantic.”

Another South African Artists Suffers Stroke

After having lost one of the country’s entertainment indursty’s big shots a few weeks ago in Oupa Sefako who was famously known as Dj Sumbody, South African entertainment industey recently suffered yet another loss and the news about the passing of Mandla Mampinysha Maphumulo who suffered stroke and died a few hours after he was admitted at a hospital, his fans took to social media as they expressed that they are deeply saddened by the passing of their icon and entertainer.

Inside Zari Hassan ‘s white party and what celebs wore

The Ugandan born businesswoman and reality star had an all white party at Club Motiv in Kampala Uganda. This is something she does every year. Zari has taken over her late husband Ivan Semwanga’s white party culture, which he used to host every December.This year’s all-white party was a little different because the cast of Netflix’s Young, Famous and African reality show were in attendance. Zari is also part of the show, so she hosted them. She shared a video of welcoming them at the airport.

Lupita Nyong’o, the Oscar Award-winning actress is dating Hugh Masekela’s son

Hugh Masekela was a world-renowned flugelhornist, trumpeter, singer and defiant anti apartheid activist who remained deeply connected at home, while his international career blossomed in USA. In 1960, at the age of 21 he left South Africa to begin what would be 30 years in exile in USA. From 1964 to 1966 Masekela was married to singer and activist Miriam Makeba. In 1971, he fathered a baby boy by the name of Selema “Sal” Mabena Masekela with a Haitian woman in Los Angeles. He was raised in Staten Island, New York and Carlsbad, California.
